Cookie Policy
Effective October 15, 2026
Potcake uses the cookies and browser storage it needs to work. On our public pages (home, pricing, sample report, Extended Team and these policies) we would also like to use Google Analytics, but only if you click Accept in the cookie banner. There are no advertising or tracking pixels, and Google Analytics never runs inside your account dashboard.

_potcake_gate | Cookie, essential | Secures M38 Partners staff sign-in. | Up to 7 days |

_ga, _ga_<id> | Cookie, analytics (only if you accept) | Google Analytics: counts visits and which pages and plans people look at, and whether a visit ended in a purchase. Google Signals and ad personalization are switched off. | Up to 2 years |
potcake-theme | Browser storage (not a cookie) | Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. Never sent to us. | Until you clear it |
The Potcake tag on customers’ websites
Businesses that use Potcake can add the Potcake tag to their own websites. The tag sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses or personal information about visitors. To credit a lead to the way a visit arrived, it keeps only that arrival source and landing page in the browser tab’s session storage, which is erased when the tab closes.
Your choices
Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any public page to accept or reject analytics cookies, or to change your mind. Rejecting removes any
Google Analytics cookies already set. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Potcake’s public pages work without them, but you’ll need the
m38_session cookie to stay signed in to an account. More about how we handle information is in our
Privacy Policy.
